This is the day!

Psalm 118:22 -24

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

This passage is very familiar to many believers. It's a good declaration and I try to pray verse 24 every day.

But the "stone" in verse 22 is a specific Stone. His name is Jesus.

Matthew 21:42: Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: "'The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

This "Day" that we celebrate (every day!) is the day of salvation. Our day. Every day.

Every day, our goal is to celebrate--Rejoice!--in our salvation.

Every day we should look at this "marvelous" gift with fresh eyes of faith and praise.

Jesus came as the cornerstone--the most important stone of the building--but He was rejected and is still being rejected today. However, all who believe in Him and in His Name (Jesus!) will receive forgiveness of sins, a new loving heart, a holiness only He can give and ETERNAL life with Him!

His name is Jesus and He made a way for THIS DAY of salvation with His death and resurrection.

Awesome.
